Our Story
The Greenville Garden Initiative began as an attempt to create a community-strengthening garden in Greenville Illinois. The group began as a COR 401 project idea in fall 2012.

The Garden has 3 main purposes;
- Create an on-campus space intentionally welcoming to community members.
- Confront malnutrition among low-income families in Bond County and a need for fair access to fresh produce by establishing an ethic of sharing produce with the Bond County Food Pantry.
- Strengthen our community by breaking down institutionalized economic and social barriers.
